Avignon is called the UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its long history, great landmarks and buildings. Avignon is located in the southern France and has a long history dating back to the Roman Empire. One famous landmark is the Cathedrale Notre-Dame des Doms with its large statue of Virgin Mary. Notre-Dame is also the final resting place for Pope Benedict XII and Pope John XXII. You can visit Notre-Dame everyday as its open daily for tourist and seems to be’the major’ attraction in Avignon. Looking for a great dining spot in Avignon, well Travel Avignon offers great tips from Fine Dining to Casual Dining. Popular hotels in Avignon includes the Hotel Roques, which is a 3-start hotel but its abit far from downtown, about 2 miles from the city. If you need a place closer to Avignon city, then try Hotel De L Horloge which is located right in the city center. Avignon, definately a historic place to visit.

I was thinking to take French Coursessimply because in certain places, knowing just English wont take you very far. Europe have a wide range of languages from Spanish to Russian. Another reason I would take French classes, is that I think it will be cool to know another foreign language, like French or Spanish. With the Internet age, you could search forplenty oflanguage cources offered online. My idea of a good language course would be one that offeredflexiblelity in terms of time and location. The courses offered should cater for busy people. I mean, I dont want to tied down to a regit schedule. The courses offered should also be trained by professional teachers, not some part-time foreign student trying to earn couple of bucks. Location is another factor that I think is second to none. You (and me as well) wont want to travel 100 miles just to learn French, would you? If its offered online, than training material must be easy to follow with lots of online help as well. Last thing (and most important), it must be fun as well.

I crossed my mind just today that, HEY, Europe uses more than just English. You got Spanish, French, German, Italian and more (i guest). I would love to one day go to Paris BUT i dont know how to speak French. Boy, its goin to be difficult as I only speak English. So off i go searching the Internet and found this French Classes site. You can learn to communicate in French and they have classes all over the place. This is really good since you dont want to travel far to learn something new. So, looking at the French Courses, the trainers are native Frenchmen (which i think is a MUST for any language course) and you can have the classes anytime (weekdays, weekends, morning, night, you name it). Yes, i do hope i could one day go to Paris and at least know a bit of French (that will be cool).
