Pont du Gard (meaning- Bridge of the Gard) is an aqueduct. It was build in 19 BC during the Roman Empire. This structure is designed to carry water across the small Gard river valley. It was divided into three levels. The first level is used as a road while the middle and third level are carry the water conduits.
